Gyrlie Lynn Brown, 60, of Clarksville, TN. died Tuesday, July 24, at Gateway Medical Center. He was a native of Jessamine County born June 22, 1952, to the late Sherman Lee and Frances Richardson Brown. He was a true man and disliked his name Gyrlie (named after a doctor at birth)and always used Lynn as his first name.

He was an excellent mechanic and electrician, loved hunting fishing, drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes, and talking with friends. He served 6 years in the US Army Reserves before being discharged.

He is survived by his children Jason Brown, wife Marian, Justin and Cortney Brown and their Mother Kitty Brown, sisters Vivian Fain, Joyce Lockhart, brothers Chester, Wallace, wife Nan, and Dewey Brown, grandchildren Kyleigh, Kenadie, Austin, and Kristin Brown, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters Marcella Gordon and Ethel Mae Toadvine, brothers Augustine and Sherman Lee Brown.

A Remembrance Ceremony will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, July 28th , at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery, honoring him as pallbearers will be family members.
