Wilmore ---- Harlet Curtsinger, 83, of Pickett Street, passed away Friday August 7th, at St. Joseph hospital .A native of Mercer County he was born December 23rd 1925 to the late Claude and Sallie Curtsinger. He was a US Army veteran of World War 2, and a retired Milkman for Borden’s dairy. Mr. Curtsinger was a member of the Mt.Zion Methodist Church in Harrodsburg and a member of the Lions Club of Wilmore. He is survived by his daughter, Becky Arvin, Wilmore, Two sisters, Onita Curd, Versailles; Shirley Locker, Nicholasville; One Brother William J. ( Betty ) Curtsinger, Nicholasville; 5 Grandchildren, Chris Arvin, Jannah Arvin, Randy ( Christie ) Bates, Kelly Bates, and Jeff Bates; 5 Great Grandchildren. And many special nephews and nieces. He was Preceded in death by his wife June Curtsinger, his son Bruce Curtsinger, and two brothers Cecil and Claude Curtsinger Jr.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday August 11th at Mt.Zion Methodist church with the Rev. Jim Thobaban and the Rev. Sal Buonocor officiating. Burial will be at bluegrass memorial gardens.
Pallbearers will be Chris Arvin, Eddie Locker, Gary Curd, C.J. Curtsinger, Chris Bellman, Mike Johnson and Steve Reynolds. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Wilmore Lions Club, Leonard Fitch, Debbie Bellman, Laura Mink, Paulette Embry, and Kim Curtsinger.
Visitation will be from 2 till 8 P.M. Monday August 10th at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for contributions to be made in Mr. Curtsinger’s memory to the Wilmore Lions Club or Mt.Zion Methodist Church.
