Harrison Delbert "Junior" Preston, 83, loving husband of Vernice Rowland Preston for 65 years, left his earthly home on Friday, May 29. He was a native of Jessamine County born Feb. 8, 1932, to the late Harrison Delbert and Pearl Mae Shearer Preston. He was a mail carrier for 20 years in Lawrenceburg, the owner of several businesses including the Monkeys Eyebrow Gas Station, Main Street and Court Street Laundries. Junior was a long time member of the Golden Eagles CB Club and was known as "Blockbuster", he enjoyed camping and being outdoors. Although he was not a veteran Harrison was a very patriotic man loved his flag and the eagle was his favorite bird. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, children Linda Preston Vanover, Donna Preston Lamb, husband Ricky, Sherry Preston Hornsby, husband Mack, Delbert Lee Preston, Gregory Preston, wife Lisa, and Steve Ray Preston, Grandsons who will honor him as pallbearers; Kevin Todd Vanover, Vance Spencer Hager, Jayson Michael Preston, Steven Daniel Preston, Levi Gregory Preston and a great-grandson Gaige Thomas Colston. His remaining grandchildren will be Honorary pallbearers Karen Lynn Hager, Chasity Elaine Disponett, Jennifer Dawn Tinsley, Leigh Ann Welch, Christin Fayne, Nikki Preston Drake, Kenny Smith and Austin Carpenter. He also was blessed with 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Brenda Preston Hager and her husband Terry Lee Hager, son Jeffrey Dale Preston, grandson Tori Lee Preston, great granddaughter Daisy Mae Miller, brothers Sam, Alex, JT, Charles, and Bill, and a sister Rebecca. A Service of Remembrance will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 2, with Pastor Noal Cotton officiating. He will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery.
