Hazel Welch Walker Dean

Nicholasville: Hazel Welch Walker Dean, 93, of Blueberry Lane, died Sat., March 22, at Royal Manor Nursing Home. A native of Jessamine County she was born May 23, 1914, to the late Charlie and Enuice Cooley Walker. She was the widow of Harrison Dean, a homemaker and a member of the Nicholasville Church of Christ. She is survived by her son Charles David Dean, wife Bonnie, a grandaughter Macy Dean Kanatzar, husband Matt and their son Taylor, special niece Norma Jean Belcher as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their thanks to the caregivers and friends of Royal Manor for their kindness during her stay and especially to her roommate and long time friend Hilda Woods.

Services will be 11:00 AM Tues., March 25, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Brother Randy Grow officiating, burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, March 24. Contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
