Helen Hager Graham, 84, widow of Paul Graham, joined him in eternal rest on Sat., Oc.19, while residing at Mayfair Manor. A native of Jessamine County, she was born Nov. 21, 1934, being one of six children of John and Mary Agnes Peel Hager. Helen was a member of Mt. Beulah Church. She was a fiercely determined lady who earned her LPN license, graduating in the Class of 1972/73, and she could be found frequently using a saw or hammer while remodeling a house. She was ahead of her time in flipping houses and remodeling rental property. Yard sales were a passion she had for finding things to repurpose. She worked in Dr. Russ Cabaltica’s office for many years and later was employed by the VA Hospital, St. Joe Hospital as well as Mayfair Manor where she spent her last days. She was preceded in death by brothers A . J , Roy James “Knott”, Louis, and Alvin Hager and sister Mary Welch Evans. She will be fondly remembered by sons Jackie W. Graham and Jeffrey Graham, wife Kim, grandchildren Tasha Marie, and Catherine, as well as a sister-in-law Mildred Miller and numerous nieces and nephews. A Remembrance Service will be held 1:00 PM Thurs., Oct 24, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. Following the Service she will be laid to rest beside her husband in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Jeff Graham, Mike Hager, James Roy Hager, Dr. Jason Chisholm, Johnny Hager, and Chuck Canter. Honorary bearers will be Louis Arnold Hager, Rick Walling, and Paul Miller. The family will greet friends beginning at 4:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, Oct. 23. “Your life was a blessing and your memory will be treasured”. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home values nothing more than the trust we have received from the Graham family.
