Helenora Elizabeth (Jacobs) Boots

Mrs. Helenora Elizabeth Boots, 91, entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at her home with family members by her side.  She was born on December 5, 1930 in Deland, FL to the late Claude and Helen Frances Cropper Jacobs.  She was a member of Broadway Christian Church in Lexington and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Helenora leaves a lifetime of precious memories with her devoted husband of 70 years, Lawrence William Boots, of Lexington.  She also leaves wonderful memories with her children Eddie Boots, Wendy Boots Stock, husband Brian, Larry Boots, Ronnie Boots, and Mary Boots Mays; grandchildren Jordan Dipre, husband Joe, and Shannon Helene Shaffer, husband Michael; and great-grandchildren Sloane Dancy Dipre, Knox Dipre, Peyton Shaffer, Gentry Shaffer, Porter Smith, and Elijah Shaffer, wife Jenna; as well as a very special sister-in-law Eva Jane Jacobs.  Helenora was preceded in death by her sisters Mary Margaret Turner, husband Roy, and Mildred Lee King Yates, husband John, and her brother John Jacobs.  A private Graveside Inurnment will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery at a future date.  “If there ever comes a day where we can’t be together, keep me in your heart.  I’ll stay there forever.” Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the trust given to us to care for Helenora and the Boots family.
