Herbert B. Warren

February 7, 1935 — July 10, 2019

Herbert “B”. Warren, 84,  born Feb. 7. 1935, was one of seven children of the late Jasper Milton and Nannie Walker Warren.  He was the last living one of this family, having been preceded in death by brothers Chester, Edgar, John, and Willis Warren and sisters Jeannette  Stinnett and Cordie Perrin.  “B” loved to cook and was once a chef at Chef Sears Restaurant, Camp Nelson Restaurant, and at RJ Corman Railroad Group as well as a retired custodian of Asbury University.   His family will always remember the turkey and dressing dinners he prepared at Thanksgiving. He was a sports enthusiast and loved playing his guitar and singing; his favorite artist was Elvis.  He prided himself in his corny jokes at which he was the one who laughed the loudest and being able to aggravate in a teasing manner.   He enjoyed eating lunch daily with his best friend Ronald Lane.  “B” was a high school graduate of the Nicholasville High School in 1956, and was so looking forward to the high school reunion scheduled for this weekend and had been a member of Nicholasville Christian Church since the 1950’s. He will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Janice Warren, nephews Darrell Warren, wife Jodie,Jeff Warren, niece Angie Kielman, husband Dan, Mike Warren, and Wayne Warren, as  well as many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.  A Graveside Remembrance will be held on Monday, July 15, in Maple Grove Cemetery at 11:00 AM.  Honoring him as pallbearers will be Darrell, Jake, Mike and Wayne.  Honorary bearer will be Ronald Lane.  “Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget”.   It is a privilege for Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home to have been chosen to care for “B” and his family.
