Homer Nicholas Burton

Homer Nicholas Burton, 33, son of Amy Anderson Burton and the late Harold M. Burton, left his earthly home on Wednesday, August 17. His unexpected death will leave a tremendous emptiness in the lives of his loved ones. He was a life long resident of Jessamine County born July 13, 1983. Homer loved basketball and played for West Jessamine High School, where he received a trophy for scoring the most points in a single year. He also played football and loved to swim. Recently his favorite activity was helping his Mother take care of and playing with his children; Kiara, Skylar, Savannah, and Ashton Harold Nicholas Burton. In addition to his Mother and children he leaves special memories with sisters Sharon Houp, husband Chris, Cheryl Durham, husband Steve, and Shirley Smith, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Remembrance Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 22, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. Homer will be laid to rest in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
