Homer L. Carter, beloved husband of over 50 years to Sammie, loving father to daughters Carolyn Carter of O'Fallon, MO and Ann (Jeff) Brennan of St. Joseph, MI and grandfather to David and Stephen Brennan. Born February 16, 1930 - departed February 10, 2009. Retired statistician for the US Department of Agricultlure. Attended Sharon Woods Baptist Church; member of Jessamine County (KY) Beef Cattle Association and Ohio Ag Council. Served in U.S. Army during Korean War.

Family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 12, from 5 - 6:30 pm at Sharon Woods Baptist Church, 5959 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus, OH where a Memorial Service will follow at 6:30 pm.

On Saturday, Feb. 14, the family will receive friends at Hager Cundiff Funeral Home, Nicholasville, KY from noon to 1:00 pm. Burial at 1:30 in Maple Grove Cemetery, Nicholasville. Pastor Brian McCoy officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central Ohio Diabetes Association, Sharon Woods Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice.
