Horst Gustav Bolcas

Horst Gustav Bolcas, 89 widower of Joan Howard Bolcas since 1988 and Leah Nell Fontana Bolcas since 2005 left his earthly home on Sunday Dec. 10, 2023.  He was a native of Hydekrug, Germany born Oct. 23, 1934, to the late Gustav and Helena Bolz.  Horst was a US Army Veteran and was a retired employee of Kentucky Utilities Bluegrass Engineering during which time he secured right aways for the company.  He loved to travel and grow vegetables in his garden.  He looked forward to time in his recliner with his favorite companion, his dog Daisy who he adored!  He will be fondly remembered by his son Michael A Bolcas, wife Maria, step-daughter Shea Blackburn, husband Kenny, grandchildren Michael Gustav Bolcas, Paige Bolcas, Daniel Hart, Kendra and Logan Blackburn as well as his brother Herbert Bolz. A special thanks to the Woodford Family Physicians and the Willows at the Fritz Farm for the care they gave Horst.  Donations in his memory can be made to the Woodford Humane Society.  The family will hold a Private Service.  “ His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, he was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure”,  Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the trust given to us to care for the Bolcas Family.
