Imogene Goodlett, 68, loving wife of Leon Goodlett for over 40 years, left her earthly home on Sunday, April 22, 2018. She was the daughter of Grover “Cleve” and Katherine Louise Jones, born March 23, 1950 and lived most all her life in Jessamine County. Imogene had an infectious smile that radiated happiness to anyone she met. In her younger years she sang with the King’s Disciples and after her marriage to Leon she assisted him in the Goodlett Furniture Store located on Main Street. Imogene was a people person and was always interested in activities involving people such as becoming a Mary Kay distributor as well as providing Avon for many folks and working in the office of Dr. Steven Draper. Her last and greatest passion was loving her 6 grandchildren. In addition to her husband Leon she leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Nancy Brumfield husband Mike and son Donnie Goodlett and wife Carol, grandchildren Ashley Carol Hartley, husband Jeff, Rachel Louise Goodlett, Cole Goodlett, and Eswin Monroy Brumfield, and sisters Sally Hale, husband Jerry and Karen Kirby, husband Ronnie. She was preceded in death by a son Stephen Coffee and brother Ricky Jones. The Goodlett family will receive friends Friday, April 27, starting at 5:00 PM with a Remembrance Memorial to begin at 6:00 PM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. “The love that I have within me, Shall reach you from the stars, You’ll feel it from the heavens, and it will heal your scars”. The family family suggest donations be made to the funeral home by going to the green Appeal for Donation button to submit your donation or drop by the office at 207 West Oak Street.
