Nicholasville: James Allen Beaumont, 65, of Sugar Creek Pike, died at V A Hospital on Tues. Sept. 2. A native of Jessamine County he was born July 3, 1943, to the late Lewis J. and Sarah Elsie McKinney Beaumont. He was a retired phone repairman for GTE, a member of Wesley Chapel, and a veteran of the US Army having served in the Vietnam War. His favorite hobby was woodworking having a talent for making original items, he was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed farming and fishing, although his passion was his 3 girls, wife, grandchildren, and friends. Survivors include his wife of 42 years Carolyn Brooks Beaumont, girls Cathy Beaumont and husband Rob Ralenkotter, Sara Beth Beaumont Lusk and husband Charles, and Jenny Ann Beaumont Barber and husband Jason, 2 sisters Elsie Bruner who raised him and Ella York and husband Jerry, 6 grandchildren Amanda Rose Toole, Jon Todd Toole, Tylor Toole, Madeline Rose Lusk, Lilly Kathryn Lusk, and Addisyn Brooke Barber, a step grandson Justin Ralenkotter, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Lewis Beaumont, Jr., 3 sisters Florena Byrd, Bonnie Byrd and Josephine Beaumont, and a brother in law Lloyd Bruner who raised him.
Services will be 11:00 AM Mon. Sept 8th, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Taylor and Rev. Steve Sholar officiating, burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roger Benge, Roy Durham, Andy Stone, Ben Shafer, Martin Lowry, and David Hammond. Honorary bearers will be Johnny Bruner, John Bob Howard, Don Clark, Robert Durham, Mike Jones, and Scott Thomas. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 PM Sun. Sept. 7th, at the funeral home.
