James H. Blakeman

Nicholasville: James Harold Blakeman, 65, of Foxwood Dr. died at his home on Sat. Oct. 2. He was a native of Jessamine County and son of the late Katherine Blakeman, a retired employee of VA Hospital, and a US Army veteran. He was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church and the American Legion. Survivors include an uncle James H. Blakeman, Lexington and 2 aunts Corine Herren and Alice Brooks both of Nicholasville as well as numerous cousins.

Services will be Tues. Oct. 6, at 12:30 PM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Philip Brooks and Rev. Willie Laswell officiating. He will be buried in Camp Nelson National Cemetery with military honors, family members will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be on Mon., Oct. 5, from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
