James Nathan Hood

James Nathan Hood, 85, of Columbia, Ky. died Wednesday, July 21, at Central Baptist Hospital. Mr. Hood had recently resided at Thomason-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore. He was a native and life long resident of Columbia and the widower of Mary Lee Willis Hood who died in 2004. He was a retired salesman for Durham Grocery, member of the Columbia Christian Church, and Kiwanis Club. Survivors include 2 sons Rick Hood, wife Debra, Nicholasville and Jeffery Allen Hood, wife Kim, Lexington, 4 grandchildren Kim Hood Russell, Chris, Lance, and Madison Hood, 4 great grandchildren Wyatt, Zack and Kelty Hood and Ella Russell along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. A private family tribute to his life will be scheduled for a later date. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to be of service to the family.
