James "Doc" Harold Filson

James H. “Doc” Filson, 71, widower of Carolyn Filson since 2020, joined her in eternal rest on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.  Doc was born in 1951 to the late William and Georgia Filson.  He was a dentist for several years before eventually working at Toyota Manufacturing, where he retired as a Team Member.  His passion was playing music, and he was part of the Stoney Creek Band.  He also enjoyed making music with his family.  Doc was known as a dog-lover, and he was preceded in death by his favorite dog, Walter, who was also his best friend.  He leaves a lifetime of memories with his sons Jeremy, wife Ann, and Josh, wife Jeni, four grandchildren Georgia, Adian, Joe, and Nick, and his brother Kevin, wife Sue.  Doc’s family will honor him at their home on April 1 at 3:00 PM.  “You can tell a lot about a person by how he treats his dog.” Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the loyalty and trust placed in us to care for the Filson Family.
