Jane Hope (Foster) Kurtz

Jane  Kurtz, 93, widow of T. C. Kurtz since 1991, joined him in eternal rest on Tuesday Nov. 10 while living at the home of her daughter Jennie Abner and husband Danny. Jane was the daughter of the late Lucian and Ethel Ware Foster born in Jessamine County, where she was a life long resident.  At her retirement from Farmers Bank, she had worked for 42  years as Vice President.  She was a member of Nicholasville Christian Church and the Circle 4, was a member of the Nicholasville Woman’s Club, a volunteer for Jessamine County Hospice and also was treasurer for Jessamine County Board of Education for many years. Jane loved gardening, quilting, and hunting for antiques.   In addition to her daughter and son-in-law, she will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Andy Abner, wife Julia, and Matt Abner, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Jane was preceded by her sister Doris Pearce.  A Remembrance Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday Nov. 13, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home  with a graveside service to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.  Her family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 AM before the service. They  suggest donations be made in her memory to the Nicholasville Christian Church.  Her service will be live streamed on Friday on Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home Facebook and YouTube channels.
