Mr. Jason Wayne Humphrey

Jason Wayne Humphrey, 40, quietly left his early home without a chance to say goodbye or that he was leaving on Sunday, March 12, 2017. He loved his family dearly and in their hearts is a place that only he can fill. Jason was the loving husband of Margaret J. Cooper Humphrey for 11 years and son of Wayne and Debbie Pritchett Humphrey. He was a life long resident of Jessamine County born March 2, 1977, graduate of Jessamine County High School, and currently an employee of Lockmasters. He loved spending time with his family, playing video games, going fishing and cheering his favorite team, the Vikings. In addition to his wife Margaret and parents Wayne and Debbie, he leaves many memories of happiness with paternal grandmother Betty Humphrey; mother and father-in-law Jack and Patricia Cooper; step children Sara Buffin, husband Joe and Denny Huff III; sister Emily Wheeler, husband Gerald and their children Maci and Ryker Wheeler; grandchildren Jacob Huff, Andrew and Haylee Buffin and Gabbie Thomas as well as many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather June Humphrey and maternal grandparents Bobby and Mary Pritchett. A Remembrance Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March16, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Bales officiating. He will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Gerald Wheeler, Harlan Bo Cooper, Luke Welch, Richard Masters, Joshua Holland, and Jonathan Fain. Honorary bearers will be Jacob Huff, Andrew Buffin, Nicholas Gabbard, and Johnny Hager. His family will receive friends from 3 to 8 PM on Wednesday, March 15, at the funeral home. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Humphrey family.
