Joan Adams Moss

October 30, 1925 - August 27, 2013

Joan Adams Moss, 87, passed away at St. Joseph Hospice Care Center on Tuesday, August 27. She was the widow of William "Bill" Moss who died in 1966 and a native and life long resident of Jessamine County born Oct. 30, 1925, to the late James and Thoy Hunter Brumfield Adams. Joan was a retired Administrator for the Jessamine County Health Department where she worked for 33 years and a member of Bethany Christian Church. She also had served as an Honorary member of the Jessamine County Fair Board. Joan's favorite hobby was cooking for her family. She leaves to cherish her memory 2 sons Danny Moss, wife Sherry and Rodney Moss, wife Kathy, her grandchildren Adam Moss, wife Kristen of Fishers, IN and Will Moss and great grandchildren Hallie and Parker Moss, special friends Kenneth and Sherley Teater as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother James Harvey Adams and nephew Jimmy Adams. A Service of Remembrance will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, August 30, at Bethany Christian Church with Rev. Barbara Schaars officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Ray and Paul Miller, Dwight Willis, Jeff Fristoe, Mark Weden,David and Mitchell Adams,and Michael Adams. Honorary bearers will be Kenneth Teater, Victor Robinson, Tommy Cox, Neal Cassity, Mark Cassity, David Quinn, Chip Ford, Greg Jones, Ashley, Teddy, Bill, and Jerry Moss. The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 PM Thursday, August 29 at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home.
