Joann Blackburn

Joann Blackburn, 85, widow of Otis Blackburn since 2004, passed on April 21, 2024 at her home.  She was one of 12 children born in Pike County Kentucky to Finley and Vada Maynard. She leaves behind a son Glen R. Blackburn and daughter Marcia Brumlow, a grandchild Shanna Hess and two great grandchildren Katie and Glenna Hess, and a sister Pallue Ilic. She has a host of nieces and nephews and many extended family members. Joann will be remembered and loved by family and friends because she loved them to the very end.  She is now at peace and has a better home with her husband in God’s arms.  We love you, Mom!

Cremation was chosen by the family in accordance to Joann’s wishes and her cremains will be spread in her family cemetery in Pike County at a later date.  Hager & Cundiff values the trust given to us to care for the arrangements. "Her life was a blessing and her memory a treasure.”
