Nicholasville: Joseph W. Spizzirro II, 77, of N. Central Ave., died Tues., Jan. 16, at St. Joseph Hospice Care Center. He was a native of New Jersey, born Nov. 16, 1929, to the late Joseph and Lucy McMahon Spizzirro. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and had worked for Amusements of America, the largest amusement company in the United States, was a 30 year member of Showman’s of America and the Royal Order of the Brotherhood of Elks. Survivors include his wife of 7 years Susie Donahue Spizzirro, 4 children Lucille Spizzirro, Joseph Spizzirro, Diane Chapman, and Catherine Forbus, 4 step children Edward Laudermilt and wife Tara, Melissa Ann Laudermilt, Teresea Fullerton and husband Dan, and Lee Andrew Laudermilt, a sister Evelyn Savino, 3 brothers George, Jimmy and Richard Spizzirro, 6 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, his sister in law Erma Steppe, and a special friend Laura Comley. He was preceded in death by 3 children and a brother. A Celebration of his life will be held 11:00 AM Sat., Jan. 20, at HAGER & CUNDIFF FUNERAL HOME, W. Oak Street. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 on Sat. at the funeral home.
