60, of Jessamine Station, died Wed., May 17, at Central Baptist Hospital. A native of Jessamine County she was born March 3, 1946 to the late J.T. and Edna Christine West Houp. She was the former owner of Wells Flower Shop in Wilmore and a member of Wilmore Christian Church. Joyce’s hobbies included gardening, sewing and quilting, flowers, and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Richard A. Wells, a son Rick Wells and wife Kristin, TN, a daughter Chari Reynolds and husband Steve, Wilmore, father-in-law Eugene Wells and wife Rosie, 2 sisters Jan Houp, Wilmore, Joan Grossman and husband Glen, a brother-in-law Johnny Benedict, 4 grandchildren Doug and Mike Reynolds, Jake and Jeb Wells, special niece and nephew Christy and Marty Grossman, and special cousin Shelia Klingshirn, along with many other special relatives.
Services will be 11 AM, Sat., May 20, at Wilmore Christian Church, with Rev. Terry Flewelling and Rev. Johnny Davis officiating, burial in Wilmore Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Wells, Steve Reynolds, Doug Reynolds, Mike Reynolds, Jake Wells, Jeb Wells, Marty Grossman, and Glen Grossman. Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM, Fri., May 19, at HAGER & CUNDIFF FUNERAL HOME, W. Oak St.
