June Evelyn Tipton, 80, Nicholasville, daughter of the late Sandy and Martha Justice Ramey and native of Pike County, left her earthly home on Thursday, February 15th, 2017. June was the devoted wife of Jack Tipton for 61 years, the proud mother of three children, Debra Ann (Randy) Bentley, Anthony Clark Tipton, and Martha Melinda (Bruce) Drake. She was blessed with her grandchildren, Jarrod and Sarah Bentley, Joshua (Kayla) Tipton, Thomas and Anthony Tipton, Jr., Jack, Wade and Johnny Bruce Drake, as well as two great grandchildren, Natalie and Carson, a brother, Chuck (Jeanette) in addition to many other family members and friends.
June loved her children very much, but nothing compared to the pride and devotion she put in being "Granny". Her grandchildren were her world and her biggest source of joy. Spending time together, especially when she was able to cook a big meal for them, was one of the brightest spots in her life. While she passed the time enjoying her dog and working outside on her flowers, her heart was dedicated to staying in God's word daily, living her life accordingly, and encouraging others to do so as well.
A service of remembrance will be held Monday, February 20, 11:00 AM at Hager and Cundiff Funeral Home, and June will be laid to rest at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held this Sunday, February 19, from 1-4 PM at the funeral home. Honoring her as pallbearers will be her 7 grandsons.
