Karen Marie (Martin) Mattingly-Goe

Karen Marie Martin Mattingly-Goe, 45, beloved wife of Michael Goe, left her earthly home Sunday, November 24, 2019.  Karen was born on September 27, 1974 in Lexington to Anthony and Norma Carrier Martin.  She enjoyed watching movies and reading, especially Stephen King novels, and Halloween was her favorite holiday.  She worked as a Branch Manager for Temps, Inc., and especially enjoyed working as a CNA, as she loved being able to take care of people.  Along with her husband and her parents, Karen leaves her memories with three daughters, Brittany Louise Mattingly, husband Daniel Gates, Alexis Cheyenne Goe, wife Kimberlyn Lykins, and Mary Kaitlyn Pauline Goe, husband Woodrow “Woody” Bush, as well as three grandchildren, Penelope Alice Leigh Gates, Phoenix Orion Gates, and Baylee Nicole Lykins.  Karen leaves her childhood memories with her two sisters, Tony Gaile Martin McQueen and Kimberly Ann Haverly.  Her family will host a Gathering of Friends and Family from 12:00-2:00 PM Friday, November 29, 2019 at the Friends in Christ Community Church, 1391 Crenshaw Lane, Nicholasville. “I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.  I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when day is done.”  Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the trust placed in us by Karen’s family.
