Nicholasville: Katherine McCarty Hulett, 91, of Ashgrove Pike died Thursday, May 6, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospice Care Center. A native of Jessamine County she was born Dec. 11, 1918, to the late Rollie K. and Lucy Thompson McCarty. She was the widow of Carlisle Dean Hulett who died in 2002. She was a member of Providence Christian Church where she taught Sunday school and was an active member for many years, member of the Jessamine Woman’s Club and a graduate of Nicholasville High School. Survivors include her daughter Sarah Hulett Williams, granddaughter Bailey Dean Williams Hobson, husband Brian, and sister Tomie Kiger. She was preceded in death by a sister Virginia Hager.

Services will be 1:00 PM Sat. May 8, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Johns officiating, burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carl Ray, Robert, and Marlon Waits, Jamie and Travis Gardner, Randy Cox, Patrick Durham, Clay Smitson. Honorary bearers will be Ray and Harold Waits, Eddie Gardner, Nicky Durham, Daryl Southworth, Don Smitson, and Franklin E. Loy, Jr.Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Providence Christian Church in her memory.
