Nicholasville: Lawanna Jean Masters, 73, of Pinewood Dr. died unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 20, at Central Baptist Hospital. A native of Olive Hill, KY she was born Sept. 10, 1939, to the late Cecil and Hazel Webb. She was the widow of Woodrow Masters, Jr. who died in 1997. She was a homemaker devoted to her husband, daughters, grandchildren and many other family members.
She is survived by 2 daughters. Hazel Bowman, husband Darrell, Richmond, and Sheila Ratliff, husband Mike, Nicholasville, 2 brothers Bill Fraley, WIS, and David Fraley, wife Shelia, Ohio, 6 grandchildren Randall Hopkins, William Hopkins, Adrienne Renfro, David, Elizabeth, and Melanie Harrison, 15 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters.
A Remembrance Ceremony will be held on Monday, Dec. 24, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be David Harrison, Randy and Willie Hopkins, Darrell Bowman, and Mike Ratliff. The family will received friends on Sunday, Dec. 23, at the funeral home. Guestbook www.hagerandcundifffunerals.com
