Lela Todd Hager, 90, of Courchelle Dr. died Sunday, Jan. 10, at Royal Manor Nursing Home. A native of Jessamine County she was born Nov. 13, 1919, to the late Walter and Bettie Jennings Todd. She was the widow of William Merritt Hager who died in 1974. Lela was a retired bookkeeper for Stratton Lumber Company, a member of the Nicholasville Christian Church and a member of the Lena Madison Phillips Business and Professional Women’s Club of which she had served as president. She is survived by her daughter Betty Goodlett, husband Donald, grandson Todd Goodlett, wife Terry, 2 great grandsons Michael Todd and Stephen Merritt Goodlett, brother in law Gould McDowell, nieces and nephews and special friend Roberta Dean. She was preceded in death by her sister Nellie McDowell.

Services will be held 11:00 AM Tues. Jan. 12, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Mandrell officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Alvin Goodlett, Terry Hager, Donnie Goodlett, John Robert Lowry, Jay Garrett, and Michael Goodlett . Visitation from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, Jan.11.
