Lenora Stoltz Bonds, 97, of South Main St. died Thurs., May 12, at Royal Manor Nursing Home. A native of Jessamine County she was born Nov. 18, 1913, to the late Lacy and Bernice Carter Stoltz. She was the widow of Fountain Dudley Bonds, Sr. who died in 1967. She was a faithful lifetime member of the Nicholasville Baptist Church where she was involved with many activities such as Sunday School, Bible School, choir, and WMU. She was a member of the Hare Sunday School Class and a 1932 graduate of Nicholasville High School with schoolmates who were her lifelong friends. She is survived by her children Jessica Bonds Angulo, husband Rafael and Dudley Wayne Bonds, Sr., grandchildren Erica McClain Aguilar, husband Jorge, Jennifer Ann Bonds and companion Paul Martin, and Dudley Bonds, Jr., great grandchildren Lacy Aguilar, Isaiah Barbosa, Israel Aguilar, Kandice Martin, Tyler Bonds, and Johnny Bonds. She was preceded in death by a son Roger Dale Bonds who died in 1978.
Services will be 1:00 PM Mon. May 16, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.Honoring her as pallbearers will be Neal Cassisty, Rick Staley, Rafael Angulo, Jorge Aguilar, Dudley Bonds, Jr., and Paul Martin. Honorary bearers are Jerry Rice Peel, Paul Watts, Ben Dye, the Hare Sunday School Class, and the Nicholasville Baptist Church WMU. Visitation will be Sunday, May 15, from 1 to 5 PM.
