Leola (Hunt) Crawford

Leola Hunt Crawford, 95, mother of Sharon Hatton, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021.  She was a native of Nicholas County, born Nov. 4, 1925, to the late Amos Hunt and Ruth Conyers Hunt.  She was the oldest of their six children and is preceded in death by her five brothers. She is a member of the First Christian Church.  Her favorite pastime was reading and sitting on her porch.  She will be fondly remembered not only by her daughter but also by a granddaughter Christie Hatton Hartison, husband Phillip, and their children Piper and Luke. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Carlisle Christian Church .  Please check back for time and place.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carlisle Christian Church, 242 N. Locust Street, Carlisle, KY 40311 or to First Christian Church, 1305 Audubon Ave., Lexington, KY 40503. “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll be there forever.”
