Lillian Perkins

Lillian Perkins, 84, widow of Henry Perkins entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Oct. 10, at Royal Manor Nursing Home. She was a native of Jessamine County born Jan. 4, 1929, to the late Henry and Blanche Rhorer Corman. Lillian and Henry served as 4-H Leaders for many years, she was a member of the Jessamine County Beef Cattle Associatiion, and the Jessamine County Fair Board. Lillian was a homemaker, farmers daughter, and wife and a UK basketball fan. She was the loving Mother of Cheryl Jones, grandmother of Natalie Durham, and the adoring great grandmother of Justin and Payton Durham who were the lights of her life. She also leaves to cherish her memory nieces and nephews and her best friend since childhood Edith Peel. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to Ronnie and Regina Breiner and Ruth Ann Fain for all the help they have provided Lillian over the years. A Service of Remembrance will be held 1:00 PM on Monday, Oct. 14, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Dr. Harold Hunter officiating, She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Dale, Justin, and Payton Durham, Kaihlab Fain, Mitch Garrett, and John Breiner. Honorary bearers will be Angel Barnes, Edith Peel, Elmo Spurlock, Billy Rhorer, Mark Rhorer, Sammy Rhorer, Tony Moffett, Kyrie Nicodemus, Wayne Perkins, James Perkins, Ted Reynolds, Ronnie Breiner, Gary Moffett, Josh Sparks, Jessie Sparks, Garrett Ogden, and Dylan Hill The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Sunday Oct. 13, at the funeral home.
