Lloyd Calvin Combs, 92, loving husband of Clydia Lewis Combs since 1954, entered into eternal rest on March 22, 2021, at Baptist Health Care.  He was a native of Lothair, Ky, born on Sept. 24, 1928 to the late McKinley and Merza Combs.  Lloyd and his wife had lived on Kennedy Bridge Road in Lancaster for over 30 years. He was a retired employee of Rockwell International, where we was a Tool and Die Associate, and was a US Navy Veteran, having served from 1948 until 1952. He and his wife attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. In true mountain heritage he enjoyed raising a vegetable garden, collecting knives, and tinkering with cars, lawnmowers, and tillers, as well as throwing in his fishing line to catch a mess of fish.  In addition to wife, he will be fondly remembered by his daughters Jeanie Farmer, husband David and Cynthia Crowe, grandchildren Beverly Nichols, James Farmer, Daniel Cotter, and Catherine Cotter, as well as 6 great grandchildren, sister Linda Ritchie, and many other extended family members.  He was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters and a daughter Christine Cotter. The family is requesting donations be made to the Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses. Lloyd's family will greet friends on Wednesday, March 31 beginning at 1:00 PM and ending at 2:00 PM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home.  He will be laid to rest at 2:30 PM Wednesday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with military honors.  Following the Graveside Service, there will be a Memorial Service at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Nicholasville at 3:30 PM.  “His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure; he was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.”  Currently arrangements are pending.  Please check back for updates  on service times.Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home values nothing more than the trust given to  us to care for Lloyd by his family.
