Lois Faye (Hardy) Walters Profile Photo

Lois Faye Walters, 84, the loving wife of William David Walters for 66 years, entered into eternal rest on Aug. 28, 2023.   She was a native of Irvine, KY born Feb. 8, 1939, to the late Clarence Toler and Ruby Frazier (and Clark Hardy raised her from an early age).  She was one of 10 children in her blended family.  Lois was a member of Southland Christian Church and also attended services at Sulphur Well Christian Church and Jessamine Christian Church. Lois was a former employee of Proctor & Gamble where she met the love of her life David, and later she attended Beauty and Cosmetology School becoming a hairdresser for Continental Towers Hair Salon.  She loved cooking and has many recipes that she collected over the years, including one from her grandmother that was preserved on a cutting board. She always kept busy with gardening, cleaning, and an occasional trip for fishing. Her grandchildren were an important part of her activities as she managed to keep up with all of  their interests.   In addition to her husband David, she will be fondly remembered by her son Perry, wife Rebecca, daughter Cindy Revelette, husband Rob, and grandchildren who were the light of her life--Christian and Hope Campbell and Brady Walters. She leaves childhood memories with brothers Bert Hardy, J.T. Hardy, wife Betty, and sister Irene Lunsford.  She will be missed by many extended family members and friends.  Lois was preceded in death by Clark Hardy, Jr., Chuck Hardy, William Hardy, Buford Hardy, Barbara Anglin, Jesse Mae Brandenburg, and Janet Gail Hardy. A Service of Remembrance will be at Southland Christian Church Chapel Tuesday,  Sept 5, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Brewster McLeod officiating.  She will be laid to rest in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 11.00 AM.  Honoring her as pallbearer will be Duane McCuddy, Gary Goldey, Greg Woolums, Darien and Brian Wade and Christian Campbell.  Honorary bearers will be Bert, Chris, Isaac, and Eddie Hardy, Shane and Brady Anglin and Brady Walters.  The family will greet friends at the Church  beginning at 10:00 AM on Tuesday until time of Service.  “Your Mother will always live in your heart and memories.  May you find comfort in the soft presence all around you.”  Hager & Cundiff values nothing more that the trust and loyalty given to us by the Walters family to care for their loved one.
