Nicholasville: Louis N. Mulligan, Jr., 83, of Church Street, Nicholasville died Wednesday, June 11, at the VA Hospital on Cooper Drive. A native of Garrard County he was born Sept. 3, 1925, to the late Louis N. Sr. and Myrtle Ethel Hunter Mulligan. He was a retired employee of the University of Kentucky Hospital and a dedicated farmer. Survivors include his sister Lucille Ballard, Lancaster, special friend and companion Edith F. Lane and her family Judy G. Cross, Brenda Lawson, Joe Lane, Ronnie Lane, and Wanda Stratton. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Hunter Nathan and James Hart Mulligan and a sister Cecil Katherine Thompson.

Services will be held 1:30 PM Friday, June 13, at the funeral home, burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ronnie Lane, Bobby Stratton, Paul Lawson, Randy Lawson, Charles Glass, and B. F. Adams. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday. Services are under the care and direction of Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home.
