Lydia Leah Mackey

Lydia Leah Mackey, 52, beloved daughter of Douglas and Ada Ruth Mackey left her earthly home on Friday, Nov. 3.  Lydia was born Feb. 26, 1965, in Riverside, California, where she spent most of her life.  She was a member of her high school band playing the flute, a frequent visitor of Disney Land, learning so much about the park she could have been a tour guide there, and loved going to SeaWorld.  Movies and TV programs were a favorite and her ability to recall details about them was amazing to many people and became a challenge to her friends who wanted to test her knowledge. She served as a receptionist at LexPro and was a member of Lord's Legacy.  Lydia was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In addition to her Dad and Mom she is survived by a brother Lieutenant Colonel Morgan Douglas Mackey and wife Chandra, and nephews Vikash and Jayant Mackey.  A Remembrance Service will be held at 11:00 AM in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 405 Bell Lawn Dr., Nicholasville on Wednesday, Nov. 8. Pallbearers will be Vikash and Jayant Mackey, Bryce Bourland, Dennis King, Shane Warta, Dan Ross, David Moore, and Timothy Valenta.   Her family will greet friends starting at 4:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home.  She will be laid to rest at a later date in the family cemetery in Knox County.  Donations in her memory may be made to Lord's Legacy, 251 E.
