Mabel Ruth (Cundiff) Morrison

Mabel Ruth Cundiff Morrison, 90, a native of Lee County, KY left her earthly home on Saturday, Feb. 17.  She was the youngest of 6 children, born April 14, 1927, to the late Robert and Dona Lucas Cundiff. Mabel was fun-loving and life was an adventure.  She had lived in many places including Lexington, where she spoiled her nephews, Winchester, and Cincinnati. Before returning to Lexington to become a resident of North Pointe Health Care, she was a property manager in Wilton Manor, Florida, where she made many friends and enjoyed the warm weather.  Never having had children, she loved her nephews Kenny Ballard, Ron Cundiff, wife Diann, and Danny Abner, wife Jenny and the late Linville Davis.  She leaves her childhood memories with her only living sister, Mrs. Ed (Olema) Ballard and was preceded in death by brothers Harvey and Kelly Cundiff and sisters Bea Abner and June Davis, as well as her poodle who she loved dearly, Brutus.  Mabel will be laid to rest in the Lucas Cemetery in Lee County 2:00 PM Tuesday.  The family wants to extend their sincere gratitude to the Staff at North Pointe Health Care for the compassionate care and friendship they gave to her while she was a resident with them.  “ When I have come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, laugh at all the things we used to do, miss me, but let me go”.
