Malcolm Marsh, 97, of Lexington, beloved widower of Syble Estaloe Hanson and Lula Mae June, joined them in eternal rest on Monday, September 2, 2024.  He was born May 5, 1927 to the late Edgar and May J. Parr Marsh.  Malcolm proudly served two stints in the US Air Force, from 1943-1946 and from 1950-1951, ultimately attaining the rank of Sergeant.  He continued to serve his country for 38 years as a Contract Specialist in a civilian capacity as a federal employee.  In his spare time, Malcolm enjoyed hunting, fishing, and coin-collecting.  He leaves a lifetime of memories with his children Malcolm O. Marsh and Pamela May Marsh, two grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and his brother Edgar Marsh.  No services are planned at this time.  “Taps:  Day is done, gone the sun from the lake, from the hill, from the sky.  All is well, safely rest.  God is nigh. Thanks and praise for our days ‘neath the sun, ‘neath the stars, ‘neath the sky.  As we go, this we know.  God is nigh.”  Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home extends their deepest sympathy to Malcolm’s family and friends.  All arrangements are under the direction of Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home.
