Wilmore: Dr. Margaret Round Brabon went to the presence of her Lord on July 4, 2007. A native of Litchfield, Ohio, born Aug. 8, 1920, to the late George and Bertha Frombaugh Round. She was the widow of Harold Arthur Brabon who died in 1972 to whom she was married for 29 years. Margaret was Valedictorian of her high school class, a 1942 graduate of Asbury College, and in 1946 graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary who later bestowed to her an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity. She served as a missionary with OMS International for 55 years in Colombia and Ecuador, South America, established the first Missions Student Center at Asbury where she guided many students into careers as missionaries, was a gifted speaker who traveled the world, and was the author of the book "What Now, Lord". Survivors include 2 sons Dr. David Brabon and Rev. John Mark Brabon, Wilmore, 2 daughters Dr. Jeannine Brabon, Medellin, Colombia, and Mrs. Cherith Rydbeck of Quito, Ecuador, 9 grandchildren Joel, Caleb, and Lydia Rydbeck, Dr. Christel Brabon, Mrs. Suzannah Jording, Melissa and Scott Brabon, Daniel and Harold Brabon and 1 great granddaughter Madison Rydbeck. The public is invited to join a celebration to a life dedicated to God's glory at 3:00 PM on Sat. July 14, at the Wilmore United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the Church from 1 until 3 PM. Contributions may be made in her memory to Asbury College Margaret Brabon Scholarship Fund.
