July 19, 1938 - July 11, 2016
Jessamine County will be missing a person who was proud to be a native resident, a staunch Democrat, and a twice retired Jessamine County Circuit Clerk Chief Deputy; Margaret Ann Bruner Ramsey, 77. Born July 19 1938, she was the daughter of the late Carl Atwood and Mary Beverly Burton Bruner. She loved working in the Clerk's office because Margaret loved people, and talking was one of her favorite things she did. She had a wealth of information about the history of her County and the family connections, and her daughter referred to as the index she consulted. Always keeping up with news and politics, she always kept busy and in touch with the goings- on in her world. Being an animal lover, she became a part of the Jessamine County TNR Program and spent time taking care of homeless cats and collecting many items that represented them. She also loved her dog Benjamin who she considered her best friend with her for 10 years. In the last years, she became a shopper through her beloved catalogs, always having been a vogue kind of fashionista, she still loved fashion. To those who knew Margaret, they will know she enjoyed playing jokes and was a fun loving and spunky person who loved to aggravate telemarketers. She leaves all these memories and many more with her daughter and her husband Jacqueline Ann and Rodney Hayes, her grandchildren who were the air she breathed and affectionately called her "Ging-Ging" Christopher Carl-Michael Lowery and his high school sweetheart Renee Durbin and Jordan Bennett-Dale Lowery, a sister Motrecia Estes, and her faithful friend Maggie Henson. She was preceded in death by a son Carl Stanley Ramsey in 1977, who was recently honored by a gentleman in Colorado who offered a dollar for a smile to those who passed by him in memory of Carl Stanley. She was also preceded in death by the father of her children Jack Stanley Ramsey, brother Wallace Dudley Bruner, and niece Pamela Bruner King.
A special Thanks from the family to the many caregivers that have helped Margaret over the years, especially Michelle and Paula.
