Margaret Stewart Wilhoite, 89, widow of Joe Cooper Wilhoite since 1986, left her earthly home to join her husband in eternal rest. A native of Jessamine County, she was born Dec. 11, 1926, to the late Leslie and Minnie Stewart. A homemaker, her family best described her as being the best Mom, a good Christian woman who attended many different churches and taught her family to treat others as you would want be be treated and who had a gentle spirit. She loved baking, singing, working puzzles, fish dinners, yard sales, and her grandchildren. Margaret was the last of nine children in her family. She is also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Linda Wilhoite. She is survived by a daughter Rosie Estes, husband Ricky Lee and a son Joe Cooper "Little Joe" Wilhoite, Jr., grandchildren Joanna Rebecca Marie "Becky" Wilhoite, Ann "Katy" Wilhoite, Joe Cooper"JJ" Wilhoite III, Darryl Wayne McHone, Wanda Lee McHone, and Brian Keith McHone. Her family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM on Monday with a Graveside Service following at 2:30 PM Monday, Oct. 24, in Camp Neson National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Brian McHone, Darryl McHone, James Thomas West, Chris Fitch, Gene Noel, and Brandon Clemons. Honorary pallbearers are Clarence King, Tommy King, Harry King III, Kyle King, Leonard Fitch, Johnny Fitch, Joe Cooper Wilhoite Jr., Joe Cooper Wilhoite III, and Joey Reid. Hager & Cundiff is honored to once again serve the Wilhoite family.
