Marguerite "Margy" (Kennedy) Gulley, 91, died at home on June 14, 2017. She grew up in Solvay NY, attended Crouse-Irving School of Nursing, and invested 60 years of compassionate care in the Army Nurse Corps, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, and Valley Hospital in Chattanooga.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Jim, son Michael, daughter Jane and several siblings. She is survived by daughters Lynn (Fred) Jolly, Francine Parsons, Terry (Jim) Moses, son Jim (Rose) Gulley, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her ever present pet and confidant Lola She was very active in the worship and social life of St. Luke's community and Homemakers of Jessamine County. Margy was a voracious reader, adept card player, and a wonderful mom who raised 6 kids while working full time.
Calling hours beginning at beginning at 5:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM with a Vigil Service to be at 7:30 PM Friday June 16 at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke Church, 10:00 AM June 17.
