Nicholasville: Marilyn Myers Bradshaw, 64, of Windsor Way, died Sun. July 15, at the home of her daughter Roxanne Sparks. A native of Fayette County she was born March 4, 1943 to Dorcas E. McIntyre Meyers and the late Theodore Myers. She was the widow of Billy Lee Bradshaw who died in 2003 after 32 years of marriage. Marilyn retired in 2005 from Asbury College. She was an active member of the Jessamine County Fair Board for over 30 years, director of the Miss Jessamine County Pageant for many years and a member of the Broadway Christian Church. She loved shopping, gardening, bunko, and traveling. Survivors include her Mother Docas Myers, a daughter Roxanne Sparks and husband Bill, 3 sisters her twin Merrilyn Lewis, Ohio, Norma Peck and husband Dennis, Lexington, and Gail Gillentine and husband Jack, TX., a sister in law Anna E. Bradshaw, 3 brothers in law Avon Bradshaw and wife Lena, Ray Bradshaw and wife Phyllis, and Cecil D. Bradshaw and wife Helen, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and a close friend Cheryl Jones.

The family wishes to extend Thanks to Hospice Team Melissa Beavers and Shana Taylor and Marilyn’s doctor and former classmate Dr. Bill Brooks.

Services will be 2:00 PM Wed., July 18, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Bird officiating, burial in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Scott Rogers, Jack Rogers, Brian Rogers, Randy Shelley, Ronnie Brenier, and Dennis Peck, Jr.. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Jessamine County Fair Board and her brothers in law. Visitation will be on Tues. July 17, from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Bluegrass or the National Foundation for Cancer Research.
