85, of W. Linden, died Mon., May 22, 2006, at Central Baptist Hospital. A native of Jessamine County, she was born March 23, 1921 to the late Clarence and Jewel Surface Davis. She was a 1939 graduate of Nicholasville High School and a retired employee of Wilmore Sewing Factory having worked there for 31 years. Marjorie was a long time member of Mt. Freedom Baptist Church and enjoyed flowers, crocheting, taking rides, and working crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her husband Robert Clay Watts, 2 daughters Judy Ann Jackson Tatum, Nancy Rae Jackson Figg and husband Glenn, a son Jesse Jackson and wife Lucy, 5 grandchildren Lisa Proctor and husband Barry, Robert E. Tatum, Jr. and wife Kellie, Bryan Jackson, Jenny Jackson, Stacy Hager and husband Chris, 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 12 half brothers and sisters.
Services will be 1:00 PM, Fri., May 26, at HAGER & CUNDIFF FUNERAL HOME, on W. Oak St., with Rev. Dan Barnes officiating, burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Hager, Robert E. Tatum, Barry Proctor, Bryan Jackson, David Garrett, and Steve Watts. Visitation will be 4 to 9 PM, Thurs., May 25, at the funeral home. Contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
