Martha Sue (Hopkins) Beaman

Martha Sue Hopkins Beaman, 69, widow of George A. Beaman since June 2019, entered eternal rest Sunday, December 8, 2019 at her home.  One of five children of the late Arthur "Red" and Ada Johnson Hopkins, Sue was born in Lexington on July 30, 1950.  She was a kind and caring person who loved taking care of the sick and elderly which she did for many years and was also a former employee of UK Radiology. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, camping, fishing, and traveling.  She leaves her legacy with children Danny Ray Middleton, Sr., wife Debbie, Carolyn Sue Napier, husband David, and Robert Lee Middleton, as well as grandchildren James Tyler Napier, Anthony Taylor Napier, Danny Ray Middleton, Jr., Jacqulyn Ashley Rene Middleton, and great grandchildren June Taylor Middleton, Brantley Colt Middleton, Manuela Susie-Marie Middleton, and Maverick Christopher Middleton.  She leaves her childhood memories with siblings Caroline Johnson, Ronnie Hopkins, wife Freida, Jerry Hopkins, wife Sara, and Kenny Ray Hopkins, Sr., wife Loretta.  Sue's family will honor her with a  Remembrance Service at 1:00 PM Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Hager & Cundiff.  They will greet friends beginning at 4:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the funeral home.  Her Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren. As per her request she will be cremated following the Service.  "I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one,  I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when day is done."
