Marvin L. Areaux

Marvin “Marv” L. Areaux, 77, widower of Mary Jeanne Areaux since 2015, left his earthly home on Tuesday, Nov 13, at the V A Hospital in Lexington, KY.  He was a native of Paw Paw, Michigan born Oct. 28, 1941, to the late Russell Blair and Mettie M. Areaux. Marv was a veteran of the US Air Force serving 6 years in service.   Having acquired an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice he was employed by Kaiser Hospitals in California in their security department from which he retired.  Marv loved all sports but especially horse racing and football and enjoyed a good bowling game.  He will be fondly remembered by his children Michael Ferguson, wife Elizabeth,  Andrew Areaux, wife Valerie, Tammy Vidal, husband Gerry, Jennifer Hollon, and step-daughter Shannon Bankhead, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. He leaves his childhood memories with brothers Walter Areaux, wife Linda and Lin Areaux, wife Donna.  As per his wishes he will be cremated and his inurnment will be in the Battle Creek Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan at a time in the near future.  “We grieve because we love, we love because they lived.”  Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Areaux family.
