Mary Wade Clark

Nicholasville: Mary Wade Clark, 99, died Sunday May 30, at the home of her nephew Dexter Wade. A native of Jessamine County she was born March 15, 1911, to the late Robert and Minnie Sanders Wade. She was the widow of William E. Clark who died in 1972. She was a member of the Oder of Eastern Star for over 50 years, member of Nicholasville Christian Church for over 80 years and a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors include a step daughter Jessie Burt, husband Bob of IN. and numerous nieces and nephews who helped look after her in her last years. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers Curtis, Charley, Kenneth, and Harrison Wade.

Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, June 4, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 3, from 4 to 8 PM with Eastern Star Services at 7:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Dexter Wade, Gerald Wade, Ben Houp, Roland Wade, Don Rex Wade, Mitch Houp, Ron Cundiff, and Dewayne Guinn. Honorary bearers will be David and Rebecca Vallier, Ray Johnson, and Tonya Wade. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass in her memory.
