Mary Louise (Hamilton) Cochran

Mary Cochran, age 76, of Nicholasville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024. Born on February 13, 1948, Mary grew up on a farm, where her love for horses blossomed, and she often joked that she should have been a cowgirl.

Mary was a hard worker known for her unwavering kindness and was described by her friends as one of the best friends anyone could ever have. She dedicated her life to caring for others, always going the extra mile to support her loved ones.

A passionate traveler, Mary created cherished memories with her children, family, and friends. Her favorite adventures included trips to the beach, exploring the West—including Las Vegas—and unforgettable cruises, especially her beloved Alaskan cruise.

In her quiet moments, Mary found joy in tending to her flowers, bird watching, and spending time with her beloved dogs, who brought her immense happiness.

Mary is preceded in death by her late husband, Larry Cochran; her son, Joseph (Josephina) Cochran; and her siblings, Larry Fuell, Billy Fuell, Patricia Followell, and Jacqueline Dangelmaier. She is survived by her son Jeff (Anne) Cochran, and daughter Sarah Cochran. Mary is also survived by her five grandchildren: Chris King, Jessica King, Caitlin Cochran, Zoie Thomas, and Ally Cochran, as well as her four great-grandchildren: Parker Embs, Cole Embs, Lillian King, and Brayden King.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 7, at Hager and Cundiff Funeral Home, 207 West Oak Street, Nicholasville, KY 40356. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with the service following at 2:00 PM.

Mary Cochran’s spirit will live on in the many lives she touched, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
