Mary H. Elliott, 72, of Jewell Rd. departed this life at her home on Friday, Nov. 5. She was born May 3, 1938, in Olive Hill, Ky. to Alice Hillman Snow and the late Richard Hillman. Mary was a graduate of Wilmore High School and attended Western Kentucky University, member of Edgewood Baptist Church, life time member of the PTA, member of the Wilmore Woman’s Club and a retired employee of Asbury College where she worked for 30 years. She was known to be one of the best cooks in Kentucky and an avid UK basketball fan. In addition to her Mother, who turned 101 on Oct. 15th she is survived by her husband of 54 years Edward T. Elliott, her children Jack Elliott, Elizabeth Agee, husband Steve, and David C. Elliott, wife Pattie, brother Paul N. Hillman, LA, 7 grandchildren J. W. Elliott, Ashley Seward, husband Justin, Nicole Marsee, husband David, Kendall Elliott, Tyra Barnett, husband Zack, Amanda Elliott and David T. Elliott, 6 great grandchildren Conner Barnett, Wyatt and Levi Marsee, Lane and Jacob Stevenson, and Joslin Seward,and nephews Gregg and Rick Niekirk the sons of her sister Jane Stoneback who preceded her in death.

Services will be 11:00 AM Mon. Nov. 8, at Edgewood Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Sholar and Rev. Don Reed officiating, burial in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. J. W. Elliott, David Elliott, Ted Hall, Gary Howard, Glen Hamilton, Zack Barnett, Mark Murphy, and Rick Niekirk will serve as pallbearers. Honorary bearers will be Judy Woolums, Joyce Eades, Georgia Carson, Walter Bradshaw, Ben Scott, Willie Bourne, and Roger Woolums. Visitation is on Sun., Nov. 7, from 4 to 8 PM at the church. Contributions may be made in her memory to Edgewood Baptist Church Christmas for Christ offering or Hospice of the Bluegrass. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
