Nicholasville: Mary Lee Switzer Frye, 65, of Union Mill Rd., died Wed., Sept 3, at St. Joseph Hospital. She was a native of Fayette County, but lived most of her life in Jessamine County. She was born March 9, 1942, to the late Bill Welch and Lucille Cora Maddox Switzer. She had been a nurse at Julius Marks Nursing Home and at Good Samaritan Hospital. Mary loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, bird watching, animals especially horses, and of course spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 30 years Rickie Frye, 2 daughters Patricia Plowman and husband Eddie Hendrix, Spears, Charlesetta Marie Swartz, and husband Jeffery A., Lexington, a son Richard L. Frye and wife tonya Damrell, Berea, 2 grandchildren tiffany Lee Plowman and Gracie Leigh Frye, 4 step grandchildren Shay Damrell, Cheyenne Rawlins, MacKenzie Rawlins, and Allie Rawlins, a great grandson Stanley Tyler Plowman.
Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, Sept 5, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Frye, Scotty Barnett, Jimmy Johnson, Shawn Miller, Jonathan Lamb, and Jeff Swartz. Honorary bearers will be Joe Switzer, David Switzer, Bobby Switzer, Jeff Switzer, Eddie Hendrix, Mike Phillips, Marvin Nicholson. Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM Thurs., Sept. 4, at the funeral home.
