Nicholasville: Mary Lou May, 63, of Duncan St. passed away on Sunday May 22, at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center. A native of Lexington she was born May 25, 1947, to the late Richard and Ethel Rhodus. She was the former owner of Dawn Lou and enjoyed coordinating pageants, weddings, and working with high school cheerleaders. She was a member of the Liberty Road Community Church and attended River of Life Church. Survivors include her son Ricky May, daughter Tiffany May-Grider, husband Andre, grandchildren Michael May and Brayln Grider, sister Grace Parrish, husband Bradford, a brother in law John W. May wife Valda, and sister in law Hope Spoonamore.

Services will be 1:00 PM Wed. at the Liberty Road Community Church, and she will be laid to rest beside her husband William May who died in 1992, in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Mike May, Chad Parrish, Ronnie Rothwell, Brad Parrish, don Carden, Andre Grider,Mathew Spoonamore, and Mark Spoonamore. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home and from noon until service time at the church.
