Nicholasville: Mary Elizabeth Moore, 91, of Kimberly Drive, died Monday, May 18, at Royal Manor Nursing Home. A native of Garrard County she was born April 16, 1918, to the late John and Elizabeth Mulligan Shearer. She was a member of Roberts Chapel for 55 years and was a Kentucky Colonel. She is survived by her husband of 73 years Allen S. Moore, a son Joe Moore, wife Lynn, Ohio, 2 daughters Barbara Shields, husband Gene, Danville and Wanda Houp, husband Jerry, Nicholasville, a half brother Philip Shearer, wife Louise, Nicholasville, a sister in law Marie Moore, Nicholasville, 9 grandchildren Becky Burrus, husband Chuck, Frankie Shields, Jodie Noe, husband Billy, Allen Shields, wife Jennifer, Mike Moore, Jackie Mohn, husband Steve, Paul Shuler, wife Amanda, Chris Houp, and Stephanie Byrd, husband Bob, 26 great grand children and 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, a half sister, and 2 half brothers.

Services will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 21, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Moore, Frankie Shields, Allen Shields, Chuck Burrus, Billy Noe, Bob Byrd, and Chris Houp. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Wed. May 20, at the funeral home.
