Nicholasville: Mary Ruth Davis Simpson, 96, of Kimberly Heights Dr., formerly of Culpepper Lane, Lexington, died Sat., June 7, at Northpointe Nursing Home. A native of Jessamine County she was born Dec. 20, 1911, to the late Walter and May Beaumont Davis. She was the widow of James L. Simpson who died in 1978, and a member of Central Christian Church. Mary was a kind, caring and nurturing lady who enjoyed her family and friends. Her favorite hobby was her flowers. Survivors include a granddaughter Heather Arnette, North Carolina, a sister in law Lyde Simpson, special friends Mary Barron and John Bryant. She was preceded in death by a son James Morgan Simpson, 2 sisters Lillian Davis and Lucille Darrah.
Services will be 11:00 AM Sat., June 14, at Hager and Cundiff Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Fri. June 13.
